Adidas Golf Expands Its Popular ClimaProof Collection
adidas Golf is introducing a new outerwear line that expands on its popular ClimaProof collection. The new line is offered in four categories to battle specific weather conditions: Storm, Rain, Wind and Wind-Warm.
Adidas Golf says ClimaProof all-weather protection is made of highly weather-resistant fabrics that provide protection from wind, rain, and cold. Additionally, the lightweight, soft fabrications result in a quieter, more comfortable garment.
In order to develop its latest outerwear evolution, adidas Golf says it launched a “full-scale investigation’’ to further discover and understand the performance needs of serious golfers. The process, according to the company, included extensive product testing in extreme conditions, as well as conducting extensive interviews and detailed feedback gathering from the adidas Golf Tour Staff. The result, adidas Golf says, is a wide-ranging outerwear collection that looks, fits, feels and performs better than any other brand.
After multiple rounds of extensive testing, adidas Golf has produced the ClimaProof Storm Ultimate Jacket and ClimaProof Storm Ultimate Pant. A similar version, the ClimaProof Storm All-Weather Caddy Suit, was selected as the official supplier of the Bandon Dunes caddy force who is challenged daily by the Pacific Northwest’s ever-changing weather conditions.
Adidas Golf says the ClimaProof Storm Ultimate Jacket and Ultimate Pant combines re-enforced construction, modern materials and features to provide the best possible protection, and incorporates lightweight, reinforced double-layer shoulder inserts, 4-way mechanical stretch for easy movement and comfort, fully seam-sealed waterproof zippers, waterproof protection to 20,000mm and breathability of 26,700 g/m2/24hrs. Suggested retail price for the ClimaProof Storm Ultimate Jacket is $275 and $225 for the ClimaProof Storm Ultimate Pant. Each includes a three-year waterproof warranty.
The ClimaProof Rain Provisional Jacket (SRP $75) and ClimaProof Rain Provisional Pant (MSRP $70) are highly wind-resistant, fully seam-sealed, waterproof to 3,000mm and offer breathability of 3,000gm/m2/24hrs. Each includes a one-year waterproof warranty.
In addition to being highly wind- and water-resistant, the ClimaProof Wind products (SRP $80-60) are lightweight and water resistant up to 600mm.
