30 industry speakers confirm for IAF Convention (Hong Kong)
Some 30 international industry experts have been invited to host discussions focusing on this year’s convention theme: “How retailer brands, internet and green manufacturing are transforming fashion business”. The 26th IAF World Apparel Convention is set to take place next month from 6 – 7 October 2010 at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre, parallel to Interstoff Asia Essential Autumn.
Mr Thomas Nelson, Vice President Global Sourcing for VF Corp Asia and speaker at this year’s convention is hopeful that the event will bring professionals together to help eliminate inefficiencies in their current mode of operations. “Hong Kong is a central hub whereby companies have representatives so this convention gives us the opportunity to hopefully solve problems, share ideas and drive more networking,” stated Mr Nelson.
The convention will commence with a keynote address from Mr John Cheh, CEO of Esquel Group Limited, who will share insights on “China’s role in the Fashion Industry: From Sustainable Manufacturing to Domestic Market Opportunities”. Discussions will then be broken down into four categories and led by:
