Water reduction in textile process using enzymes (Hong Kong)
Enzymes, from a bio-innovation company called Novozymes, have been incorporated in several experiments conducted with a light surfactant-based process, by the Chinese textile producer – Esquel Group.
The Esquel Group has accomplished a reduction of 30m3 of water per ton of knitted material, in the bleaching process where enzymes were used in place of chemicals, in experiments conducted under the Danish biotechnology company’s project called “elemental textiles”.
