China Viscose Market - Thin Trade
Viscose market saw thin trade with constant decline of cotton rates in China domestic market. Participants were less confident and some of them started to undersell goods.
Cotton linter prices declined apparently later this month. Few takers appeared on the market since pulp prices dropped, pulp mills ran with low operating rates and refined cotton rates fell.
Cotton linter pulp prices went down affected by low-quality goods. Dissolving pulp suppliers stopped offering and offers in China spot market were high amid tight supply.
VSF market showed weak performance amid largely steady offers, but some plants started to revise down selling rates at the end of month with the lower at 28000yuan/mt. Rayon yarn prices also trended down with weakening sales.
VFY market was mainly stable as offers did not change much. Producers focused on fulfilling previous contracts and downstream plants adopted a hand-to-mouth strategy. The industry meeting will be held on Dec 8.
