Asia business sentiment rebounds in Q4
Despite recent uncertainties in the global economy, business sentiment at leading companies in Asia is rebounding in the fourth quarter. They're shrugging off concern for the European debt crisis and a slow US recovery.
The Reuters Asia Corporate Sentiment Index rose to 77 in the fourth quarter from 69 in the previous quarter and that's the second highest reading since June 2009. Analysts say it's because people are still spending. So that's certainly good news the index remains well above the 50 mark that separates positive from negative outlook. Sentiment is especially strong in the resource, financial and property industries that have benefited from Asia's robust growth and strong cash inflows to the region.
