Indian Commerce and Industry Ministry initiated sunset review of anti-dumping investigation on Chinese silk fabrics (Silk Fabric of weight 20 - 100 gms per meter, customs codes 50071000,50072000,50072010,50072090) on December 6, the investigation period is from April 2009 to June 2010.

Indian Commerce and Industry Ministry made the final ruling of anti-dumping case on China's silk fabrics (20 g / m ~ 100 g / m) on November 16. India refused to give economy status to five respondent companies in China that were selected to provide samples, determined dumping margins ranged between 24 to 54 percent, the average dumping margin for all other responding companies but not selected to provide samples was 38 percent, while the dumping margin of two separate companies without providing samples was 42 percent. Indian ministry of Commerce and Industry said in the disclosure of the facts that the involved products imported from China constituted dumping, thus causing damage to domestic industry. India set minimum prices in accordance with different models and different enterprises involved.
