Acrylic Market Summary (Dec 1-15, 2010)

ACN
In H1 Dec, ACN spot supply remained tight and trading level inched up slightly. Downstream buying sentiment weakened somewhat. As ACN producers kept running rates stable and downstream demand kept high, their inventory level remained low. However, as the market softened a little recently, inventory increased slightly.

Acrylic fiber
Acrylic fiber plants still had moderate sales and were not under inventory pressure. Offers were kept flat. However, as transactions got duller recently, fiber plants became worried about market outlook.

Acrylic yarn
With cotton, polyester and viscose still weak, acrylic yarn market softened evidently. Yarn plants mostly purchased small amounts to meet short-term needs. However, they still maintained high running rates.
