Quicker Hikes - Nylon Market Summary (Jan 1-15, 2011)
CPL price strengthened further in H1 Jan as downstream plants had to replenish stocks on low inventory while the sellers were holding cargoes. Nylon 6 chip and textile filament prices followed up gradually, but much slower.
As to plant operations, DSM Nanjing had a small turnaround early Jan and restarted soon. Nylon 6 chip and textile filament producers cut production slightly in face of the high cost.
