Market review
As cotton futures adjusted substantially and suddenly, mills were not reluctant to sell goods any more. More mills held wait-and-see stances and some tried to adjust offers to rational levels.

Cotton yarn sales remained limited, but prices still kept high. The market prices of high-grade cotton yarn 32s were at 43000yuan/mt while the offers for combed cotton yarn 40s were at 47000yuan/mt, higher at 51000yuan/mt. In addition, the mainstream price of cotton yarn 32s/2 was at 43500-44000yuan/mt, ex-work.　

Rayon yarn prices still had space to rush up. The prices of open end rayon yarn kept firm with slight increasing sales. The traded prices of open end rayon yarn 30s in Foshan were at 32500yuan/mt, pre-tax while the offers in Jiangsu and Zhejiang were at 34500yuan/mt, after-tax.

Downstream Market
In China Textile City, the trading volumes increased to 1.77mln meters and the sales of polyester taffeta and five-heddle satin to Fujian increased.

Outlook
After the Lantern Festival, the operating rate is recovering slowly and sales may increase somehow. But due to the labor shortage, the operating rate will be hard to recover fast. In addition, ICE dropped to limit-down, which may affect spot cotton market and yarn market somehow.
