China's benchmark cotton futures contract up 5 pct on supply concerns
China's benchmark cotton futures traded on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange rose sharply on Monday due to supply concerns, after Friday's U.S. Department of Agriculture's report showed extremely tight U.S. Supplies.
The September cotton contract rose 5 percent as of GMT 0217 to 30,300 yuan ($4,636.506) per tonne. ($1 = 6.535 yuan)
