Market review
Cotton yarn prices continued to tumble in weakness and most plants were active to sell goods. The market prices of knitting cotton yarn 32s in Foshan were at 33600-33700yuan/mt, pre-tax while the mainstream prices of combed cotton yarn 40s in Shandong were at 41000-42000yuan/mt.

Demand for vortex spun polyester/rayon yarn presented favorable and prices kept firm. The market prices of vortex spun polyester/rayon 70/30 yarn 30s produced in Jiangsu were at 25500-26000yuan/mt.

Downstream Market
In China Textile City, the trading volumes increased to 8.08mln meters. The sales of shirt fabrics for men were favorable and the sales volume to Fujian and Anhui increased.

Outlook
With still high inventory and sluggish demand, cotton yarn market may continue to consolidate in weakness in short time.
