Formosa may prepone force majeure in cracker no -3
Taiwan based, Formosa Petrochemical may bring forward the planned maintenance of one of its naphtha cracker.
Formosa operates three naphtha crackers and cracker number -3, the biggest of all, had been scheduled for a planned force majeure in early September.
However, if the downstream units, which have been shutdown due to a fire in a pipeline on May 12, needs to be extended, Formosa may prepone the maintenance to second-half of August.
