June 27, 2011-The Polyester Yarn Price Tends to Be Weak In China Today

The polyester yarn price is mainly steady in Jiangsu Market. Local manufacturers unchanged the previous quotations in Shengze. Now a local melt spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/72F for 17,400 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F for 16,400 Yuan/ton. Another local direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 15,300 Yuan/ton and DTY 150D/288F for 17,400 Yuan/ton. The polyester price went steady in Taicang. Now a local manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 15,500 Yuan/ton and POY 150/144F for 14,900 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the early inquiry was as usual.

The polyester yarn price is weak in Zhejiang Market today. The polyester yarn price is weak in Xiao Shan. A local POY manufacturer decreased some of their products’prices. Now they quoted POY 75D/36F for 14,900 Yuan/ton and POY 100D/36F for 14,310 Yuan/ton. Another local manufacturer decreased the price of DTY and POY products by 100 Yuan/ton generally. Now they quoted DTY 75D/72F web yarn for 18,700 Yuan/ton, DTY 150D/48F for 16,200 Yuan/ton and POY 75D/72F for 15,900 Yuan/ton. The manufacturers in Tong Xiang unchanged the quotations; now one of them quoted DTY 150D/48F for 16,050 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 15,050 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing in last weekend fell back to around 80%.

At present, the straddle attitude is strong in the downstream market. The production-marketing of the polyester yarn manufacturers fell back obviously. Therefore, it is predicted that with the storage’s change, the promotion measurements of the manufacturers will come out sooner or later.
