July 21th, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices

Upstream Market：

July.20 the price of COMEX light crude oil futures raised to 98.04 dollars per barrel at the close. The price of Brent Oil futures in London market raised to 118.15 dollars per barrel .While July.20 the price of Asia PX raised 74 dollars to 1588 dollars per ton FOB Korea, Europe PX raised 50 dollars to 1505 dollars per ton FOB Rotterdam.

PTA: the PTA domestic market is up today, the suppliers’ offer is around 9350-9400 RMB/T. The abroad market is up too. The Taiwan cargo offers around 1195-1200 dollars/ton. Korea cargo quotes at 1175 dollars/ton.

 

 

MEG: under PTA rise influence, today the MEG market is going up too. The domestic practical negotiated price is around 9250-9300 RMB/T, the practical negotiated offer in overseas market is at 1200-1205 USD/T.

 

Downstream Market:

Polyester spun yarn: The polyester spun yarn in east China market keeps stable. The mainstream factories quote 1.4D*38mm direct spinning at 12600-12700 RMB/T. Meanwhile, the south China market is stable too. The quotation is around 12700-12800 RMB/T.

 

 

Polyester Filament Yarns: the quotation of Polyester Filament Yarns in China Jiangsu market is going up. A mainstream direct spinning factory in China Shengze quotes FDY50D/24F at 16900 RMB/T and POY150D/144F at 15700 RMB/T. Another mainstream melt spinning factory quotes FDY50D/36F at 16200 RMB/T and semi-dull FDY55D/24F at 16300 RMB/T. while the quotation is stable in China Zhejiang market. A mainstream factory in China Xiaoshan quotes FDY61D/24F at 15400 RMB/T, DTY150D/48F at 16100 RMB/T. Another mainstream POY factory quotes POY150D/144F at 14960 RMB/T.

 

 

Polyester Chip: The quotation of semi-dull polyester chip in China Jiangsu&Zhejiang market keeps stable. The mainstream offer is around 12500-12800 RMB/T.

PET Bottle Chip: the domestic market of PET Bottle Chip keeps firm, mainstream price from the main manufactories is around 12400-12500 RMB/T. In the overseas market, China suppliers quote the price at 1620-1630 USD/T, The market trading atmosphere is flat, and the practical discussion is few.

Rayon Stable Fibers market is firm, the price of 1.5D*38mm is about 17900 RMB/T.
