Yarn Expo to once again feature alongside Intertextile
Yarn Expo, China’s leading trade platform for upstream yarns and fibre suppliers, will once again feature alongside Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles from 29 – 31 August 2011 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in hall W5, covering an exhibition space of 3,000 sqm.
The fair will focus on a range of products including natural fibres and yarns including cotton, wool, silk and linen/ramie; regenerated and synthetic man-made fibres and yarns; specialty products; elastic, fancy and blended yarns; and computer-related services.
To date the fair has attracted nearly 70 exhibitors from seven countries and regions including China, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Many of the participating suppliers are returnees, such Aswakowit Co Ltd from Thailand, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Ltd from Pakistan, Kaybee Exim Pte Ltd from Singapore, Premier Mills Lit from India and Jiangsu Jinfang Textile Group from China.
China’s fibre consumption to reach 51.5 million tons by 2015
Mr Sun Ruizhe, Vice President for China National Textile and Apparel Council as well as editor-in-chief for China Textile Leader, recently estimated that: “overall fibre consumption in China will top 51.5 million tons by the year-end of 2015, increasing roughly 10 millions ton compared with the year-end of 2010.”
In 2010 , overall fibre consumption reached 41.3 million tons, indicating that China’s buoyant domestic market will stimulate positive growth for the next five years, making it a marketplace rich with opportunity for industry suppliers from around the world.
Yarn Expo is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry – CCPIT, China Cotton Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association, China Chemical Fibres Association, China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association, and China Textile Information Centre.
