Sep 1st, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices

Upstream: Yesterday, the futures price of light crude oil in NYMEX dropped 9 cents, and closed at 88.81 USD/Ton.

 

The PX price in Asia increased 5 USD to 1,660 USD/Ton FOB Korea and the PX price in Europe increased 5 USD to 1,580 USD/Ton FOB Rotterdam.

 

PTA: Today the PTA price increased dramatically in overseas market, the suppliers quoted Taiwan cargo for about 1,320 USD/Ton, The quotation of Korea goods is 1,290-1,295 USD/Ton.

 

The PTA price increased in domestic market, the market supply is a few and the suppliers quoted for about 10,300 Yuan/Ton.

 

PET Bottle Chips: Today the price of polyester bottle chips is firm in domestic market, the domestic main bottle chips factories quoted for about 13,100-13,300 Yuan/Ton.

 

The price in the overseas market is steady, and the quotation is about 1,700 USD/Ton FOB CMP. The market atmosphere is light and the practical negotiation is rare.

 

PSF: Today the PSF price is firm in eastern China and the price of direct spinning PSF 1.4D*38mm is mainly 13,400-13,500 Yuan/Ton.

 

PFY: Today the price of polyester yarns increased slightly in eastern China; now a local main factory quoted FDY50D/48F for about 17,900 Yuan/Ton. Another main factory quoted FDY40D/24F for 17,200 Yuan/Ton.
