Weekly Report: Cotton (Sep.5- Sep.9)
This week the cotton spot goods market mainly keeps stable. This Thursday (Sep.8th), 2011 cotton temporary collection and storage was started up. With the government’s strong moves to shore up the market, make the spot market gradually reveal some warmth, and drives the yarn market to raise the prices. At present, the relevant cotton enterprises which purchase from China Xinjiang reflect that the new cotton price is high to 21500 yuan / ton, but the Xinjiang autonomous region announced the latest new cotton referential price native ginned cotton Positive 4 is at 18500 yuan /ton. In the short term, cotton market will be stable. at 21000 yuan / ton. The referential price of seed cotton is at 4.5-5 yuan / Jin.
The performance of downstream cotton yarn market is stable. The spun rayon yarn price goes up steadily and the salable variety is comparatively centralized. China Shandong full cotton yarn market is stable this week. Now C32S quoted among 26,000-28,000 yuan, C40S is around 27,000 -29,000 Yuan/ton. In China Shengze market the price goes up slightly, C32S quoted among 27,000 yuan, up 200 yuan compared with early last week. This week the polyester yarn price in China Qianqing market goes up slightly, the mainstream price of C32S is up to 17600-17800 yuan/ton. Rayon yarn market is stable. Xiao Shan origin- weaving 30S is quoted 23,500-23,700 Yuan/ton, 40S is quoted 24,500-24,700 Yuan/ton. We can expect that the cotton yarn market will be in consolidation due to the rare demand from downstream market.
