Oct 13th, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices
PTA: Today the PTA price dropped slightly in overseas market, the suppliers quoted Taiwan cargo for about 1,250-1,255 USD/Ton, The quotation of Korea goods is 1,230-1,235 USD/Ton.
The PTA price is steady in domestic market, and the suppliers quoted for about 9,650-9,700 Yuan/Ton.
MEG: The MEG market is consolidated, the domestic suppliers quoted for about 9,550 Yuan/Ton and the quotation in overseas market is about 1,260 USD/Ton.
PET Bottle Chips: The price of polyester bottle chips is steady in domestic market; the quotation of domestic main bottle chips factories is about 12,600-12,700 Yuan/Ton.
The overseas market is also firm, and the quotation is about 1,650 USD/Ton FOB CMP. The market atmosphere is light and the practical negotiation is rare.
PSF: The PSF price keeps firm in eastern China and the price of direct spinning PSF 1.4D*38mm is mainly 13,100-13,200 Yuan/Ton.
PFY: The price of polyester yarns is steady in eastern China; now a local main factory quoted DTY75D/72F for about 19,500 Yuan/Ton. Another main factory quoted FDY50D/24F for 17,300 Yuan/Ton.
