Taipei textile show creates US$ 50mn business
The 2011 Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS) created new business worth US$ 50 million, according to Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), the organizer of the expo.
More than 75 brands from 21 countries and regions participated in the 15th TITAS, which ended on Friday. At the last year’s fair, 64 brands took part.
The trade fair, which attracted over 25,000 visitors, focused on functional textiles for apparel, upholstery and industrial uses. Recycled and sustainable textiles of low carbon footprint as well as fashion textiles forecasting F/W 2012/12 trend also formed the theme of this year’s show.
TITAS is the only professional textile trade show in Taiwan, and is considered one of the most important innovative textile exhibitions in Asia.
