Oct 27th, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices
Polyester Filament Yarn: The major poly yarn plants of Shengze market keep the quotation unchanged. Now DTY 75D/72F light interlacing yarn offered by a melt spinning plant is kept at 18300CNY/t, FDY50D/48F cash take is kept at 16500CNY/t. Another major plant quotation also keeps unchanged, with FDY40D/72F cash take offered at 15400CNY/t, and FDY50D/48F offered at 15300CNY/t.
PTA: Today PTA quotation abroad keeps stable, with Taiwan cargo offered at $1180-1190/t, Korean cargo offered at $1150/t. Quotation in China market is also stable, with suppliers offered at 9050-9150CNY/t.
MEG: Today, China Jiangsu MEG price is offered at 9000-9050CNY/t, with counter offer at 8900-8950CNY/t, and the negotiate price is estimated around 8950-9000CNY/t.
PET Bottle Chips: Today, PET bottle chips price in China market keeps stable, with China major plants offered a price around 12100-12300CNY/t, for cash take and ex-factory. Downstream counter offer is around 12000CNY/t, and the actual negotiate price is around 12000-12100CNY/t, cash take and ex-factory. The market trade atmosphere is insipid and real deal is seldom.
VSF: Viscose staple fiber market is relatively sluggish. Today, the monthly settlement is intention price is settled at 18800CNY/t. And then many plants offered the price around 18600-18800CNY/t. Some market sources think the price is reasonable while some think the price is a little high. Tomorrow, other plants will give out the monthly settlement price.
