C&A, H&M, Mango and Forever 21 Businesses in China
C&A, a Belgian clothing retailer, said it plans to open 150 stores in China in the next four years. It has opened 36 in the country since 2007.
H&M, a Swedish casual wear retailer, will step up business in China's second and third tier cities, CEO Karl-Johan Persson said. It has opened 31 stores in China in the year through December 26, bringing the total number to 77. It plans to opena more stores in smaller cities in 2012.
Mango, a Spanish clothing retailer, said it plans to open 800 stores in China in the years to come, bringing the total number in the country to 1,000.
Forever 21, a Los Angeles-based apparel retailer, plans to open three stores in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong each next year.
