10th Jan Daily Review on Polyester Prices

CPL: Yesterday CPL price increased in China. The supplier quotes around 23,500 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding price is about 23,000 Yuan/ton and the market negotiating price is around 23,000-23,200 Yuan/ton.

 

VSF: The day before yesterday, the market price of VSF is rising while maintaining the stability. Most of the market price is 16,500 Yuan/ton, while the actual negotiating price is less than the quotation.

 

PFY: The polyester filament yarn price maintains stable in China-Taicang market, a local leading factory that the quotation of FDY50D/24F is 14,400 Yuan/ton, and POY150D/144F quoted 12,650 Yuan/ton. The factory reflects that the production and marketing was in 70% or so.

 

PSF: Yesterday the PSF (polyester staple fiber) price continues to maintain the strong situation in East China, and 1.4D*38mm spinning polyester staple fiber that the major price focuses on 11,900-12,000 Yuan per ton in the market.

 

PTA Spot Goods: Yesterday PTA price keeps firm in the domestic market, the supplier that the quotation is around 8,850-8,900 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding price is about 8,800 Yuan/ton, and the actual negotiating price is near by 8,850 Yuan/ton. In addition, the PTA price also maintain stable in the overseas market, at present, the actual negotiating price of Taiwan cargo is about 1,160-1,165 U.S. dollars per ton; and the actual negotiating price of Korean cargo is near by 1,145 U.S. dollars per ton.

 

PET Bottle Chips: Yesterday the polyester bottle chips price goes stable in the domestic market, the domestic leading bottle manufacturer which the major quotation is about 11,400-11,500 Yuan per ton, the downstream bidding price is around 11,400 Yuan/ton, and the actual negotiating price is near by 11,400-11,450 Yuan/ton. However, the PET bottle chips price rises in the overseas market, the domestic leading bottle manufacturer which the major quotation is about 1,530-1,550 U.S. dollars/ton (FOB China’s main port), the downstream bidding price is around 1,500-1,510 U.S. dollars/ton, and the actual negotiating price is near by 1,520-1,530 U.S. dollars/ton (FOB China’s main port). The trading atmosphere is quiet, and the actual negotiation is limited in the market.
