Jan 12th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

CPL: Yesterday RMB spot market of CPL is flat in China. The supplier quotes around 23,500 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding price is about 23,000 Yuan/ton and the market negotiating price is around 23,200 Yuan/ton.

VSF: Yesterday the VSF factory continues to raise the quotation; the leading quotation is around 16,700 Yuan/ton in the market. With the price is rising step by step, and the purchasing enthusiasm of downstream is higher.

PFY: Yesterday the polyester filament yarn price goes stable in China-Shaoxing market, a local leading FDY factory that the cash quotation of FDY55D/72F is 14,000 Yuan/ton; FDY75D/144F quoted 13,500 Yuan/ton, and FDY150D/96F quotes 12,760Yuan/ton. The day before yesterday the production and marketing of local factory was rebounded in 50-60% or so.

PSF: Yesterday the PSF (polyester staple fiber) price is still presented deadlocked situation in East China, and the center of leading quotation has basically no changes in the market, now 1.4D*38mm spinning polyester staple fiber that the major price focuses on 11,900-12,000 Yuan per ton.

PTA Spot Goods: Yesterday PTA price is soft in the domestic market, the supplier that the quotation is around 8,800-8,850 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding price is about 8,750 Yuan/ton, and the actual negotiating price is near by 8,800 Yuan/ton. In addition, the PTA price goes lower slightly in the overseas market, at present, the actual negotiating price of Taiwan cargo is about 1,150 U.S. dollars per ton; and the actual negotiating price of Korean cargo is near by 1,135-1,140 U.S. dollars per ton.

PET Bottle Chips: Yesterday the polyester bottle chips price keeps firm sharply in China, the domestic leading bottle manufacturer which the major quotation is about 11,500-11,600 Yuan per ton, the downstream bidding price is around 11,450 Yuan/ton, and the actual negotiating price is near by 11,500 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold, and the actual negotiation is limited in the market.

MEG: Yesterday market price of MEG goes soft slightly in China-Jiangsu, the quotation is 8,500-8,550 Yuan/ton in the earlier, the buying offer is 8,450-8,500 Yuan/ton, and the negotiating price of medium-sized and small order is 8,500-8,530 Yuan/ton.
