Suppliers feature S/S home collections at Intertextile
A wide selection of Spring / Summer home textile products will be on display at the second annual Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, to meet with China’s peak sourcing season demands. Exhibits include curtains, furniture and upholstery fabrics, beddings and towels plus many more items. The 2012 fair takes place from 29 February – 2 March at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre and is expected to attract 200 exhibitors and more than 10,000 buyers, covering 37,000 sqm of trade space.
After last year’s successful debut show, Hangzhou Wikman from China will once again showcase their curtain products. "Last year, our products were well received, so this year we decided to return and bring our new collection," said Ms Alice Chu, a representative for the curtain supplier.
Another curtain supplier, Hangzhou Xiaoshan Phoenix Textile from China, will promote their curtains that are made with light materials and new technologies, which are ideal for Spring / Summer. “This is a good business platform for us to connect with China’s local market and we believe that the new venue will attract even more buyers," said Mr Shi Cheng Kuang, owner of the company.
Apart from sourcing, Chinese buyers are also looking for new market trends at the show. “The local buyers that we met last year were frequently exchanging ideas on the latest trends and market demands, so we are confident that the fair will help promote our MODAL fibre as well as our company brand to the Chinese market,” said Ms Lucia Chen, a representative for Lenzing Fibers (Shanghai) Co Ltd. The company will highlight new applications on MODAL fibres for towel and other home textile products.
Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Spring is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).
