CPC to build new 0.6mn tons/year naphtha cracker
The company CPC Corporation, based in Taiwan, have planned new project on No. 6 Naphtha Cracker and RFCC.
To streamline refinery configuration and boost value-added profiles, CPC is building an RFCC (Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking) unit with a capacity of 80,000 BPSD, along with related facilities. The total investment stands at NT$38.9 billion and is expected to come on stream by June 2012.
To fulfill the gap of Ethylene demand by the local petrochemical industry, and install state-of-the-art technology, CPC plans to construct a naphtha cracker with an annual capacity of 600 thousand metric tons of Ethylene. The project will cost NT$46.9 billion and is set to be completed by December 2012.
