China's textile profits decline while losses rapidly increase
In January-February 2012, China’s textile enterprises above designated size realized industrial sales output value of 729.7 billion Yuan, an increase of 13.2 percent year on year. The industrial added value increased 12.6 percent year on year.
China’s textile enterprises above designated size achieved income of 726.2 billion Yuan from main business in January-February 2012, representing an increase of 19.6 percent year on year; total profits fetched 33.4 billion Yuan, down 2.3 percent year on year.
Of which, profits of cotton spinning & processing industry fell 5.1 percent year on year, profits of chemical fiber manufacturing fell 52.4 percent year on year.
In January-February, corporate number of loss-making textile enterprises above designated size grew 35.5 percent year on year, total losses of loss-making enterprises increased by 95.9 percent year on year.
Among them, the number of loss-making enterprises in chemical fiber manufacturing grew by 91.1 percent year on year, the total losses of loss-making enterprises increases by 404.3 percent year on year.
