Fujian Will Forge A Number of Textile, Chemical Fiber and Sports Goods Industrial Clusters

Fujian Province will introduce, set up and foster a number of key projects of consumer goods industry in 2012, according to the "Instructive Suggestions on Developing Consumer Goods Industry in Fujian Province in 2012", which is recently published by the local Economic and Trade Commission. These projects include mainly some paper, textile and garment projects each costing an investment from CNY 10 billion to CNY 100 billion.

Meanwhile, the province targets to establish a number of competitive industrial clusters including Quanzhou textile and chemical fiber cluster, Shishi garment cluster, Changle textile and chemical fiber cluster, Quanzhou sports goods cluster, Putian textile, shoes and garment cluster, Zhangzhou farm produces cluster and Quanzhou food cluster.

Also, Fujian Province will give special support to a number of leading enterprises selected from different sectors of the consumer goods industry including textile and garment, food processing, shoe making, arts & craft, furniture, plastic products, paper making, clock and watches, ceramic and pharmacy, promoting them to develop scale, professional and standardized production.
