China's apparel prices rose 4 percent in first quarter
The data released by National Bureau of Statistics on April 9 showed that national consumer price level rose by 3.6 percent year on year in March. Among them, city prices rose 3.6 percent, rural prices rose 3.6 percent; food prices rose 7.5 percent, non-food prices rose 1.8 percent; consumer prices rose 4.4 percent, prices of services rose 1.5 percent.
The total level of China's consumer prices rose 3.8 percent over the same period last year in the first quarter. Clothing (including accouterment) prices rose 3.8 percent. Apparel prices rose 4 percent, footwear prices rose 3 percent.
In March, ex-factory prices of national industrial producers fell 0.3 percent year on year, but up by 0.3 percent from the previous month. Purchasing prices of industrial producers rose 0.1 percent year on year, and 0.1 percent from the previous month. In January to March, average ex-factory prices of industrial producers rose 0.1 percent year on year, purchasing prices of industrial producers rose 1 percent year on year. Average clothing prices rose 2.9 percent in January to March year on year.
Among ex-factory prices of industrial producers, prices of production materials fell 0.8 percent year on year. Prices of living materials rose 1.4 percent year on year, of which, clothing prices rose 2.6 percent.
Among ex-factory prices of industrial producers, production prices increased 0.3 percent compared with the previous month, of which, prices of living materials rose 0.1 percent, and clothing prices rose 0.1 percent.
Among purchasing prices of industrial producers, prices of textile raw materials rose 0.2 percent from the previous month, while annual comparison unchanged.
