MEG & PSF prices surge, PTA remains unchanged
Paraxylene (PX) prices dropped down consecutively for the second day in all Asian markets. In S E Asian countries, PX prices plunged down in the range of US$ 1545/ton to US$ 1550/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted in between US$ 1525/ton to US$ 1530/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market too declined and hovered in the range of US$ 1545/ton to US$ 1550/ton.
PTA prices remained at the same level. In F E Asian and S E Asian countries, PTA prices were stable in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1175/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was inert at US$ 1165/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices soared up and were marked at RMB 8775/ton to RMB 8825/ton.
Ethylene prices stayed unchanged in all global markets, except U.S.A market. In S E Asian countries, Ethylene price was at US$ 1425/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene price hovered at US$ 1415/ton. In U.S.A market, Ethylene price inclined and was quoted in the range of 69.00 cents/pound to 69.50 cents/pound. In European domestic market, Ethylene price was at ?1230/ton. In European market, Ethylene price was in the range of US$ 1545/ton to US$ 1555/ton.
MEG prices continued to hike up. In S E Asian markets, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In China market, MEG prices jumped to US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG was offered in between RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.
In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips price was quoted stable in the range of US$ 1565/ton to US$ 1575/ton. In F E Asian markets, counter offers were around US$ 1550/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices were unchanged at RMB 10900/ton.
In Korean markets, FG PET Chips price was steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1475/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices surged up and were offered at RMB 10250/ton to RMB 10300/ton.
PSF prices went up sharply in all Asian markets. In F E Asian countries, PSF prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1590/ton to US$ 1595/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers jumped up in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 11000/ton to RMB 11100/ton.
In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices stayed stable and were marked at RMB 11200/ton, RMB 12600/ton and RMB 11300/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY were at US$ 1525/ton, US$ 1710/ton and US$ 1525/ton, respectively.
