Export orders to United States slightly up, but to European Union and Japan significantly down (China)
The overall performance of domestic textile market shows partial sales of seasonal products, yarn delivery slightly speeds up, some textile mills have intention of increasing raw material inventory, but their replenishment efforts are not strong. The average inventory of raw materials of domestic textile enterprises is still at low level, overall cotton price is stable, some varieties of yarns are still under de-inventory process.
Looking at the situation of textile and apparel contracts at Condon Fair in early May, total textile and apparel orders were essentially flat with Autumn Fair last year, but down 12.3 percent from the same time a year earlier, export orders to the United States slightly increased, but export orders to European Union and Japan significantly decreased.
Export orders of textile sector is expected to be basically stable in the second half, increasing slowdown in economic growth and order transfer will continue to affect cotton consumption of textile sector in China.
