China to invest $473mn in Indonesian textile sector (Indonesia)
The Chinese textile industry has committed to invest in 234 textile projects in Indonesia, a top official in the Ministry of Trade and Industry evealed.
A delegation from the China Chamber of Commerce for Textile Imports and Exports (CCCT) was in Indonesia recently seeking investment opportunities.
These 234 projects will attract investment totaling to US $473 million, Mr Gusmardi - National Exports Development Director-General, revealed.
He said that bilateral was expected to touch $50 billion by 2015, but had crossed $49 billion in 2011 itself.
Starting with this new cooperation, the target for bilateral trade was revised to $80 billion by 2015, he informed.
