Ministry of Trade and Industry imposed duty on polypropylene (Egypt)
Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry decided to impose 15% duty on polypropylene (PP) resins imports for a period of 200 days from 5 June.
Industry and Foreign Trade Minister, Dr. Mahmoud Eissa noted that the decision aimed to protect the national industry from foreign firms, especially the gulf ones. The decision to impose dumping duties on particular commodities was usually issued by Anti-Dumping Authority at international standards.
