China's exports of knitting machinery down 12.85 percent on year (China)

According to customs statistics, China's cumulative imports and exports of textile machinery registered US $1.596 billion in January to March 2012, down 12.59 percent year on year. Of which, exports of textile machinery were US $501 million, an increase of 3.93 percent year on year; imports of textile machinery were US $ 1.095 billion, down 18.52 percent year on year.

Knitting machinery exports registered US $129 million, down 12.85 percent year on year, accounting for 25.84 percent of total exports, ranking first, followed by exports of auxiliary equipment and spare parts, dyeing and finishing machinery, chemical fiber machinery, spinning machinery, weaving machinery, non-woven fabric machinery, chemical fiber machinery, showing an increase of 106.19 percent year on year.

In January to March 2012, China exported textile machinery to 135 countries and regions. In January to March 2012, China’s exports of textile machinery to India amounted to US $102 million, down 16.44 percent year on year, accounting for 20.29 percent of total exports.

China’s exports of textile machinery in terms of general trade amounted to US $432 million, an increase of 5.45 percent year on year, accounting for 86.28% of total exports; China’s exports in terms of feeding processing trade were 56.166 million, down 10.20 percent year on year, accounting for 11.21 percent of total exports; exports in other trade forms came to 12.5685 million, an increase of 31.43 percent year on year, accounting for 2.51 percent of total exports.
