Sino-US Home Textiles Sourcing Expo to start on July 24 (USA)

Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is the only sourcing event in North America to solely focus on fabrics and finished soft goods for all home applications. The show provides manufacturers, retailers, jobbers, converters, contract specifiers and designers a one stop sourcing venue where they can locate new fabrics and products for their latest collections. The third edition will take place July 24 - 26, 2012 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Home Textiles Sourcing Expo is set to become yet another highlight for the home textiles industry. The third edition welcomes 146 companies and associations from 13 countries. With a growth of 11 percent compared to the year before, the show continues its increase in the number of exhibitors. Companies from Peru, Portugal, Canada and Hong Kong will premiere at Home Textiles Sourcing Expo while U.S and Indian participation has increased. The show is organized by Messe Frankfurt and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT TEX).

Mr. Xu Yingxin, executive vice chairman of CCPIT TEX says: “In partnership with Messe Frankfurt, we are presenting Home Textiles Sourcing Expo as a sourcing hub for international supply chain network. In addition, we hope the event could be functioning more to promote further cooperation between Chinese manufactures and their American business partners in the aspects of designing, branding, research and development.”

The boost in exhibitor numbers has also sparked higher interests by attendees. “Attendee pre-registration so far has significantly improved compared to July 2011. More and more North American sourcing professionals are considering the show as the not-to-be missed destination for fabrics and finished goods for all home applications,“ commented John P. Gallagher, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt North America.

Attendees find the complete range of fabrics and components, especially Lenzing Modal and Tencel, cotton, polyester, knits, linens, silk, vinyl, weaves and wool. Among the finished and soft products offered at the show are custom carpeting, bath, bedding, kitchen and window coverings. Extended pavilions from Egypt and Pakistan and a bigger Lenzing pavilion also provide a comprehensive choice of products for sourcing professionals.

Another highlight include the home textiles trend presentation by Global Color Research, one of the world’s leading trend studios for color and design. The trend area features the home textile color trends for the upcoming season. The Heimtextil trends serve as the inspiration for the trend area at the show.

The Home Textile Sourcing Expo is again co-located with Texworld USA, the largest apparel fabrics show in North America, and the International Apparel Sourcing Show. In July 2011, the three co-located events drew 563 exhibitors and more than 5,000 attendees.
