Uhde Inventa-Fischer to build polyamide 6 plant in China (China)
Uhde Inventa-Fischer and Changle Highsun Synthetic Fiber Technology Co., Ltd have signed a contract for the supply of a polymerization plant to produce high-performance polyamide 6 for textile applications. The multi-line plant will have an overall production capacity of 180,000 tonnes per year and will be located at the customer’s headquarters in Binhai Industrial Zone, Changle City, Fujian Province, P.R. China.
Operation of the plant will be based on Uhde Inventa-Fischer's patented, state-of-the-art High-Performance Polyamide 6 technology (HPPA) for the production of full-dull, semi-dull and bright chips. A further technological highlight of the plant will be the cost-effective, feedstock-saving Overproportional Refeeding technology (OPRP) developed by Uhde Inventa-Fischer. This process allows the caprolactam extract generated by all production lines to be fed back to a single polymerization line.
Uhde Inventa-Fischer’s scope of supplies includes the know-how licence, the formulae for the high-performance additives, the basic engineering, the supply of all relevant equipment, supervision of the erection activities and the commissioning management. In addition, experienced Uhde Inventa-Fischer specialists will train Changle Highsun Synthetic Fiber Technology Co., Ltd’s operating personnel to run the plant.
