Vietnam Jan-May textile export raised 11% y-o-y (Vietnam)
According to Vietnam National Bureau of Statistics, textile export value in Jan-May 2012 reached 5.46bln USD, an increase of 11% year-on-year. In detail, May export textile value was 1.24bln USD, up 20.7% compared to the past month.
The major destination of the textile products was U.S., and the value amounted 2.79bln USD in Jan-May, 2012, accounting for 51.1% of the total export value.
Besides, in order to reach the 2012 goal of 15bln USD in the textile sector, enterprises need to achieve the export value of 1.4bln USD averagely in the previous seven months in 2012.
