Maoming Petrochemical develops new polypropylene (China)

Maoming Petrochemical developed high-flow and high-transparent polypropylene successfully and started commissioning for the first time on Aug 23, applying hydrogen-regulating method in No.2 PP unit. Maoming PC planed to produce 500 tons of polypropylene for the commissioning.

Currently, the price of this type of polypropylene is 1000yuan/mt higher than other specifications. Only few plants can produce this type of polypropylene applying hydrogen-regulating method in China.

Transparent polypropylene is in great demand and widely used in making food container, stationery, film bag and storage box. High-flow and high-transparent polypropylene is kind of high added-value product which has great prospects.
