Export of Medical & Hygiene Textiles Grow 9.7% in First Half

In the first half of this year, the export of medical and hygiene textiles from China amounted to US$ 1.35 billion, up 9.7% year-on-year, both export quantity and unit export price rose about 4.7%. The export price of absorbent cotton, bandage and disposable operation gown keep the same level as in same period of last year, while that of sanitary napkin and diaper rose more than 10%. For medical dressing and disposable operation gown alone, the United States is the largest market for China’s export, but the export to this market dropped 5.45%, the export to Japan fell 23.37% while the export to the Netherlands rose significantly by 38.93% to US$ 31.77 million.
