China's textile and apparel exports to ASEAN up 20.8 percent on year
According to the overview on China's import and export of textiles and garments in the first three quarters recently released by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, the increase of China’s exports to ASEAN was far higher than the average increase of China’s exports, clothing exports alternated textile exports to become the driving force to stimulate export growth.
In September, China's exports to ASEAN rebounded to US $ 2.19 billion, an increase of 36.7 percent year on year.
In January to September, China's textile and apparel exports to ASEAN accumulated $ 17.29 billion, an increase of 20.8 percent year on year. The increase rate was much higher than the average.
China’s exports to ASEAN were mainly textiles, which has been the main growth driver for many years. But since this year, the active force for export growth has changed to clothing sector.
In the first three quarters, China’s yarn and fabric exports cumulated to $8.68 billion, an increase of 10.7 percent year on year, pulling up 6.3 percentage points, garment exports registered $5.98 billion, an increase of 53.3 percent year on year, pulling up 14.5 percentage points.
