DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR begins today at Shanghai

More than 1,200 international and Chinese top and emerging exhibitors from about 35 countries will be exhibiting all types of floor covering solutions and launching the latest products to the market in the 140.000sqm gross space reserved for DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2014 at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre from 25th to 27th March 2014.  

 

This 2014 edition of the show is strongly focusing on two key topics for the future of the flooring industry: "Green" and "Innovation". For the first time in 2014 the world's most influential environmental awards for flooring, GreenStep Awards, is introduced in Asia to recognize and promote those companies and individuals who embody the principles of environmental stewardship in this region.

 

GreenStep Asia Awards also aims at helping Asian company to expand their business in mature markets such as North America and Europe by leveraging on their achievements in sustainability.    

 

InnovAction flooring, the promotion campaign for the most innovative flooring solutions, is back in 2014 for its second edition. The online services for this campaign have been optimized in 2014 by offering visitors and exhibitors an interactive platform helping the match-making between offer and demand before the show. The quality of the new products presented has also been improved by introducing a selection and voting system. 

 

With GreenStep Asia Awards and InnovAction Flooring, the show leads the industry to a healthy development and presents to the show visitors a valuable platform to identify the key players and the newest flooring products.  

 

42,165 professional visitors from 107 countries attended this major event in 2013 and left the show very satisfied for the time invested at DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR. This year the show organizers expect another great success and high-quality visitors from all over the world.

 

In terms for visitors profiles, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR has been developing its platform vertically by integrating upstream and downstream industry resources and supporting the exhibition with a series of forums, conferences and events covering specific topics and giving insights in different flooring industry application fields. 

 

Some of this year conferences titles are: Hospitality Design Salon (which is part of the Shanghai Architect Fair held concurrently within the show); China Wood Flooring Retails Forum; the 2nd China Hospital Environment Construction & Materials Applications Forum; 2014 T.H.E Flooring Tech Forum; China Warehouse and Logistic Forum.

 

Throughout the show, many are the concept areas at the show realized with the active cooperation of a number of exhibitors boosting the different product categories and highlighting specific subcategories.

This is the case of the Floor Heating Experience area in hall N5 where visitors can study and experience directly the characteristics of the different heating systems proposed by the companies of the wood flooring sector.

While, in hall W5, buyers of the handmade carpet section can participate in a ‘Silent Auction’ that will be held onsite and will propose unique handmade carpets and rugs coming from the top manufacturing countries.

The flooring technology sector presents this year the above mentioned “T.H.E Flooring Tech Forum” hosting international and Chinese speakers, while the booming resilient flooring segment will offer the “Golf Experience” area in hall N2 for an entertaining moment right at the show.
