Turkey's carpet exports rise 7.3% in April'14

Carpet exports from Turkey amounted to US$ 204,012 during the month of April 2014, registering a rise of 7.3 percent, compared to the same month last year, as per the data released by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM).

According to the April 2014 Export Data of TIM, Turkey exported carpets worth $204,012 during the month of April, compared to the $190,079 exports of carpets made during the same month last year.

Carpet exports from the country accounted for 1.6 percent of the overall exports made from Turkey during the month of April.

During March 2014, Turkey exported carpets worth $191,210 recording a rise of 12.5 percent compared to the same month last year. Carpet exports during the month of March accounted for 1.5 percent of the overall exports made from the country during the month.

Carpet exports from Turkey totaled US$ 2.196 billion in 2013, indicating a rise of 9.3 percent year-on-year.
