Denims seek out for new fiber due to consistent cotton price upsurge

Cotton price has been wandering at a record high level for a prolonged period of time since last year and yet showed no sign of sudden plunge until now. The patience of denim fashion brands and manufacturers have been challenged ever since the cotton price started to climb up. Denim master Adriano Goldschmied noted that denim designers need to outsource materials at a forward-looking and wider angle. Denim fabrics in the future might be a mixture of milk fiber, bamboo fiber, Tencel, viscose and other novel fibers instead of merely cotton. Eco-friendly with sustainable materials will be another trend. It is forecast that by the year 2012, colorful, light and functional elements will be injected into the denim world.
