The latest authoritative statistics show that China's clothing exports reached US $ 115.24 billion in the first nine months this year, representing an increase of 23 percent year on year, the growth rate was 4.3 percentage points higher from the same time last year. But during the period, the increase rate of China's clothing exports to the United States dropped 14 percentage points from that in the same period last year.
China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export Textiles reports that China's clothing exports to the EU grew by about 28 percent year on year for the first nine months, the increase rate was 7.6 percentage points higher from the same time last year, forming a share of about 29 percent; China's clothing exports to the United States increased about 14 percent year on year, but the growth rate dropped 14 percent compared with the same period last year, forming a share of about 19 percent; China's clothing exports to Japan increased 24 percent year on year, the rate increased 23.5 percentage points compared with the same period last year, forming a share of about 14 percent.
Industry insiders point out that, in view of the expectation that demand growth in international market will slow down in the future, which is not conducive to China's textile and apparel exports, therefore, annual growth rate of China's textile industry this year is expected to be essentially flat with last year.
