2011 China Textile Economic Data Realesed
National Statistics Bureau yesterday released 2011 China’s National Economy and Social Development Statistics Report. Of which, the textile related data were as below:
In 2011, the cotton planting area were 5.04 million hectares, rising 190,000 hectares from a year ago; The cotton output reached 6.6 million tons, rising 10.7%.
The garment CPI (Consumer Price Index) rose 2.1% in 2011, of which, the urban area rising 2.2%, while rural area rising 1.9%.
The statistics-worthy textile industry grew 8.3% in 2011. The output of yarn reached 29 million tons, rising 6.7%; fabrics 83.7 billion meters, rising 4.6%; chemical fiber 33.9 million tons, rising 9.7%.
The fixed assets investment in textile industry were 366.9 billion yuan, rising 30.9%; of which, the investment into textiles, garments, shoes and caps were 226.7 billion yuan, rising 43%.
In the statistics-worthy retailer’s income, the sales of garment rose 25.1%.
The export of textiles were 94.7 billion USD, rising 22.9%; while clothes export were 153.2 billion USD, rising 18.3%.
